We are a group of future teachers who want to grow as educators and be a part of a community of like-minded people. We meet together every other week on Tuesdays in (Room TBA) at 6:00 pm. With activities and guest speakers on topics ranging from what to expect in a job interview, to good strategies to use in your classroom, to life in UT's Professional Development Sequence, come expecting to learn something new! Members of Teachers of Tomorrow actively serve the community at UT and at local elementary schools.
The purpose of Teachers of Tomorrow is:
To create a community of College of Education students who share similar professional goals;
To foster relationships through discussions, mentoring, and service work;
To encourage the habit of professional development among future educators and build student and faculty relations within the College of Education;
To supplement the education of elementary school teachers with programs, speakers, and social events;
To work through the Education Council to assist in the improvement of academic standards; and
To introduce members to classroom teachers and administrators working in the field of education.
